FCP to SP - camera audio boosted by 6db?!?

I'm running 2.0.2 for SP and 6.0.3 for FCP. When I send audio from FCP to a SP multitrack project, all the camera audio plays back 6db louder in SP than it was in FCP. Stereo music files are unaffected though.
The details... The footage was shot with a JVC HDV camera (the shoulder mounted HD100). There is one lapel mic being recorded to each channel for a total of two mono channels (two lapel mics). I'm digitizing the footage as HDV 720p30 with the audio set to dual mono in FCP. Everything seems to play back in FCP as it should: two mono tracks panned to the center. When I send the edited sequence to SP, the stereo music comes in properly, but the sound levels for the camera audio are all 6db louder than they should be. The keyframes are maintained and match everything from FCP, but the camera audio plays back 6db louder, both on the meters in SP and on my Dorrough meters. The change in volume is obvious on my Genelecs too. Everything is set to 48k, including the music. I'm cutting on a G5 with a AJA Kona LH board.
Any ideas as to why this is happening? The simple workaround is to drop the roughly mixed camera audio in FCP by 6db before I send it to SP, but I really want to get to the bottom of this.
Thanks for the help.
