1-I have a MACPRO 2x2.66Ghz
2- one is a Altec M20 and the other is a Microsoft plantronics sidewinder mic
3- I have 1 input used for speakers and there's one next to it which must be the line in. The other inputs are Optical, USB and Firewire.

I hope it's not a faulty line in because to repair it will take forever and I have an extended warranty. I read somewhere that many MACs only recognize USB mics(don't recall link because I was browsing everywhere to solve my problem)
