A number of people have a problem with matching Db levels between STP and FCP. I get around this by setting a preliminary sound level in STP and after re-importing back to FCP, do a final sound check and level set in the timeline. Usually, the balance between different levels carries over from STP to FCP even is the Db levels are different.
