where is my sound?? .stap files empty, wants to find render.mov

i dont get it

this was how it was explained to me what i should do

i exported sound clips i wanted to process in soundtrack as self contained aif.

did the processing in soundtrack, and saved the file as a soundtrack project.

imported the sound track file into FCP, placed it in my sequences anbd viola, sound!

now its some time later and when i open the project i get these error messages saying cannot find media flatten123456&gobagobaa.aif. this fine is need or media will not play.

i have no idea where these things are, so i just keep hitting cancel.

when the proiject finally opens up, my .stap files are blank, and when i try and "open in editor" it keeps asking for render.mov

does any one have any idea what is going on? i am real coinfused and a bit PO'd
