Mediavault not showing up

Hi,
we've been trying to network 2 macs and a windows machine to a MediaVault 4210. We're going through a qlogic 1404 switch and we're using a San for the network. We had success with the macs but the windows machine was not working right. Yesterday, we noticed that the zoning in the switch was not done right, so we tweaked that and right after that the macs would not load the Mediavault. Since then we've uninstalled the San from the machines and connected the raid directly to one of the macs. This mac is a g5 running tiger.
The interesting thing is that disk utility can see the 2 units of the raid and even the stripe volume. But, it will not mount it nor will it verify any permissions or anything else. Does anyone have an idea of what could be happening here?
Thanks for any input.
