Looking to configure media storage
by Matt Schulze on May 6, 2008 at 7:56:13 pm

As an organization that uses lots of video in their outreach work, we have produced about 3.5 TB of files in the last year and a half. These are spread out over 7 firewire 800 drives.
We are looking to upgrade our storage solution.
We also need redundancy, so what kind of fast arrays are people using out there and what are the experiences?

We are running a combination of PowerPC and Intel Macs, Final Cut Studio2. Most of our work is still done in DV, but we want to be prepared for HD too. Some of our footage is already arriving in 720/30p HD.
