Thanks for the reply.

IDE drives are on their way out. I was just thinking of buying off the shelf hard drives for this. I can go out and look for hitachi drives with the same specs to be safe. But I am also toying with idea that this is also a good time to up the ante to 2 terra by populating it with 500 GB drives. I am just not sure if the firmware can support it. But I guess thats the risk I have to take.
