Hello Mark:
Those are not Ciprico-approved/tested drives. We have a screening process which is more strict than store-bought drives (Actually, in stores now are a number of drives which we failed).
However, if you run a full serial-port RAID 0 write and read test, you can see how well the drives that you have will work. What you are looking for in the tests is you don't want it to 6-beep for starters, you don't want the data rate to fall below 120000KB/sec, and you don't want the Max column (which is the highest single-sector latency within that percent) to be 500 or greater.
