Daniel Crooksmystery second chapter marker

hi all

I'm authoring a blu-ray disc which has two timelines each with a number of chapter markers.
for both of the timelines when I hit skip on the remote the timeline jumps to a mystery marker about 30 secs in. the rest of the markers behave normally.
???
I found a couple of refs to similar behaviours but no solutions.
anybody have an answer ?
