Button Highlights Missing?

Button Highlights Missing?

Suddenly I do not have hightlights on buttons. Is this a problem with CS3? I am not completely at ease with this program and cannot figure out how to activate them. I am using a menu created by the software that I used a month ago. I am very reluctuant to attempt Photoshop as I am not very good with it either.
