1. You can't. DVD is 720x480 only (NTSC). Only Blu ray supports 720p or 1080p

2. Either way is fine. Down converting will gain nothing.

3. Not really. I like camtasia :)

4. If you want an interactive menu but have no BD burner, then your stuck with DVD.
