BLU-RAY final result missing resolution?
by Morten Stjernholm on Jan 22, 2008 at 11:39:36 am

Hi all. I am new to encore on the Mac, and I am trying to do a simple loop playback BLU-RAY disc. Everything seems to work fine - except the final picture quality. It seems like the material ( 1920x1080 animation codec quicktime files ) looses half the resolution when being played back on the TV set. Text appear a little "tagged" logos have lost their sharp edges and so on.

I think the source material is Progressive, and I am creating a 25i disc. I tried both the available coding options MPEG-2 and H264 both produces similar results.

Any ideas be be very appreciated !

I use a BDP-S1E and a 46" Sony Bravia for final checking.

Kind Regards
