There's human error risk if you're reformatting the card during the shoot. If you're not in record you can accidentally reformat the card you haven't dumped yet.

I've had no problem deleting all clips in ClipBrowser. I can actually see that I'm select the correct clips to delete.

Reformatting the card is not a bad idea but you should do it before the shoot IMHO.
