Uncompressed HD
by Brian Jacobs on Feb 18, 2009 at 6:45:22 pm

I have designed and built a portable system suitable for direct capture of 1920 x 1200 30p/60i uncompressed 8-bit or 10-bit 4:2:2. via HD-SDI or HDMI.

I invite anyone who would be interested to join me to test the system with your Sony EX3 or similar HD camera. I am in Bothell, Washington, near Seattle.

The system is self-contained, mounted on a backpack, weighs 10 kilos including the back-pack, can operate for 2 hours on a single set of batteries, can capture 2+ hours of uncompressed HD video.

The system would suit independent movie or nature documentary producers who are looking to capture and work uncompressed without breaking the bank.

Please email me ( bricyn786@yahoo.com ) if you are interested and I will provide you with more details or answer your specific questions.

Brian Jacobs
