I am sure that to start to source adequate alternate lens for EX3 (and all lens for these 'inter-changeable' lens cameras, you are looking at $10,000+ for decent quality products.

Try looking at lens adaptors (like Letus etc) that will allow you to place your 400mm Nikon lens in front of your EX1/3w without removing any lens.
