Hi Kevin,

I am using -4 for Black.

I have been looking at the curves quite a bit by viewing the SAW gradient in the maintainance menu, and loooking at the live curves through SDI. This showed that regardless of Gamma setting, Black defaults to +4 IRE (although the PP Black setting reads 0). Adjusting down to -4 pulls Black to the floor.

Not sure if it is OK to post outbound links here, but I am unsure how else to post photos here.

These were done to show some other PP settings, but each shows the Cine1 curve at -4 as well:

Here are a few more examples of some curve adjustments.

The first two are related to the Gamma setting:
