To add to my last post. I went over and read some of the discussion in the HDV forum. You can't get a realtime preview of HDV editing over the firewire to the EX1 (to view scrubbing and edits). That's simply not possible with any HDV camera. You CAN print your final edited sequence to tape through the firewire input and record to the SxS card in the EX1.
