Renaming Clips In XD Transfer to FCP

We just received our 350 cameras, and of course have to start shooting with them before really getting the chance to learn everything about them. So we are wondering if there is any way to rename clips in the XD transfer tool before you import them into FCP (FCP6). So far we have not been able to figure this out, and maybe you can't that might be why. We just got to the part in the Manual showing us how to change the clip names before we record, but have already shot stuff with the default sony naming system. So I thought I would ask people that have been using XDcam HD longer. Thanks for any help....
