Guys, thanks a lot for all your posts. It has been very helpfull.
I am not going to wait and/or spend extra money on the Dual Layer capacity only. I don't need that in the foresable future.

However an amazin turnaround has shown up and that is the Panasonic AG-HPX500 camera. a 2/3" camera at around the same price point as the Sony.
I can buy a package including 4 P2 card, being good for 1 hour true HD recording which is absolutely fine/enough for me.

Any thoughts on that one?
