Out of Sync audio from FCP to Color
by John Funchess on Nov 6, 2009 at 1:42:43 am

This is a Color question from the LinkedIn FCP Editing site. I didn't have an answer for the gut. Thought you might have insight and I can pass it along (with credits of course).

FCP to Color and back out of sync
I have recently started to have problems with FCP to Color and back.

The sequence I get back in FCP from Color is more than 2 seconds out of sync. I have trashed my preferences for both programs without any improvement.
This is happening on new sequences with new footage.

Final Cut Studio 3 source material all multiclip (multicam) edited but this was working when I first upgraded to the new FCP/Color.

The vision in Color is correct and this doesn't relate to the previous problem with Color 1.0 and mutliclip edits.

My only work around is to copy the audio from my original ungraded sequence into the sequence from Color but I shouldn't need to do this.

Can anyone offer advice on fixing this?
