I would agree with starting low, but for a student $75/hr seems high. Get some jobs to build your portfolio and once you have that, then you can get into the 75-200 discussion. Most fine art photographers do free shoots just to develop their portfolio... video shouldn't be much different. You could always bid out jobs as a set rate and crank them out.
