Hey Thanks for the quick answer.

Not sure I understand why the levels are lower because of the Kona card? We are analog coming straight out of the Sony deck - if we bypass the kona card and capture straight firewire levels are great??? So I need to come out of the deck into my mixer and boost levels there? Why is that?
