Thanks again Alex. I've had problems with transfers and was confused by them. Both Combustion and AfterEffects do an impressive job with effects I want but getting the footage in and out and where I need it is proving to be a lot more of a problem than I anticipated. It's helpful to know that the software doesn't always work as smoothly as advertised.
