A new PC config
by Carlos Manuel on Jun 28, 2009 at 5:09:15 pm

I have to upgrade my work PC in a very short time.

I work mainly with:
- Premiere CS3 - will skip CS4 and wait for CS5
- Combustion 3/2008
- Corel Photopaint X4
- Nuendo (basic work)

In a near future:
- Photoshop CS3 -I'm starting to learn
- AfterEfects -I will have to learn it agains my will...

I have 2 basic options
- HP desktop --- http://h10010.http://www1.hp.com/wwpc/pt/pt/ho/WF06a/12454-12454-3329738-21...

Assemble a PC with:
-i7 920 2.66
-Asus P6T Deluxe V2
-12 G DDR3
- 2x 1T HD
-ATI Radeon HD 4870 Toxic OR NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280

I will have 2x 23" or 24" PC monitors with 1920x1200 each.

- For the 2nd option what Graphic card do you recommend?
- Should I assemble it or buy the HP Desktop?

For the moment I can't go for the Matrox RT-X2 or Axio systems
I have to 'stay' in software.

Sincerely,
Carlos
