Combustion should work OK on your iMac. OpenGL is just a set of graphics libraries that allow Combustion to do certain things more efficiently. Where it is most noticeable is with particles. You GeForce card should be OK for this but probably not as good as a PC with a QuadroFX card, which has very good drivers for OpenGL. For most other things it will work just as well.

I'm a contractor for Autodesk at the moment but, unless otherwise stated, all opinions expressed here are my own.
