Hi Cows,
I probably already know the answer to this, but I need to create a string of random text that settles on a specific letter after a second or two. You all know the effect I'm thinking of, it's pretty common, and I've gotten almost where I need to be editing a bunch of single point "matrix falls" particle emitters. The only problems with this approach are well, the fact that I have to create a separate emitter for each character if I want to bring them in at different times, and the fact that I can't select what letter the emitter stops on. I realize that without individual character animation abilities, C* isn't a very good tool for this, but does anyone know if there's a plug in out there that might give me a more elegant and controllable solution? I need to recreate the effect many times over for different lower thirds, and I'd hate to do all of them this way.
Thanks,
Dave Potts
