yes this helps guys, knowing where to focus and do tests!!....... it's definitely a strobing effect.. especially on vertical edges.
Right now, I have to render to a HD format at 1280 x 720 at 30 fps, just been using png and targa file formats mostly (use RPF sometimes).
At first movies were going on DVD formated disc to be played on computers for sales presentation... last round movies ended up a DVD disc with options to choose WMF @ 1280x720 or Quicktime at a smaller size. IMO..the HD format at 30fps seems to be overkill for this, but thats what the client and the finishing house is requesting.
There is some talk for future projects to be delivered on web only.... would 24 fps be a better rate for this media?? Other projects I used a lower frame and they seem to be a lot smoother and compress nicely.
Motion Blur or smart blur seems to be my options to fix in post at this point, since all the background plates are done and not looking to re-render. Never tried blur inside of Max, fear of killing rendering times, need to do some test.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and your time... any additional comments help
Cheers
Scott
