RPF Object ID Selections

Still new to combustion....
I have 2 image sequences in my composite.... One sequence has object id info saved in a RPF the other is just a PNG sequence.
Is there a way in combustion to get selections from the RPF sequence and apply them to the PNG sequence so I can make color corrections on objects in the PNG sequence??
The 2 sequences are pretty much identical...same rendered frames, just made a mistake of rendering png instead of rpf, but need to adjust elements in the png.
any help is appreciated, thanks
