I think we're all as frustrated as you are. The only real option you have is to continue to use the version of Combustion that you have now for the things that it does well, and in the meantime look for a replacement product with a clearly defined future that meets more of your needs. For some, that may be After Effects. As for myself, I'm saving up for Fusion. I'm voting with my wallet - Autodesk will receive no future revenue from me. And they obviously couldn't care less, because Combustion is small potatoes to them. We'll both be happier without each other in the future.
