Are you by chance using a Blackmagic Decklink card in your G5? If so, the problem is the Decklink drivers, not Tiger. I'm currently dual booting between two different OS X (10.4.3) system folders -- one with the Decklink drivers installed (for FCP), and one without (for c*). Without the Decklink drivers, c3 runs fine on 10.4.3. With the Decklink drivers installed, the "file corrupted" message appears. Check the Blackmagic Decklink forum (and the BM website) for details.
