Short-cuts and footnotes in Indesign CS2

Dear Sir,

Please explain how to assign short-cuts keys for Paragraph styles and insert of footnotes. Basically, when I insert footnotes at a place in paragraph, the text frame appear just below the same paragraph. But I want the same at the bottom of the page. Please explain how I can assign short-cut keys and footnotes at the bottom of the page. It is urgent
