In regards to converting, InDesign CS can convert up to Quark 4.11...and I believe CS2 can convert through 5. If you have newer versions of files in Quark 6, you'll have to save to 5, open in 5 and save to 4. Kind of a pain, but if you've invested lots of time in those files (or found really cool templates) it might be worth it. Sometimes, it's easier to start with the elements of the templates (artwork, etc.) and recreate in InDesign. Hope that helps.
