Magic Bullet Frames - Makes its look even more "interlaced"

I have PAL footage that I was professionally converted to NTSC and then digitized to my FCP. I have applied several looks filters to the footage, and then applied Magic Bullet Frames. I chose the 24p deinterlace... tweaked the field smooth options and the field interpolation... and each time, I get a terrible looking piece of footage. Full of rabbit-teeth and horiontal interlaced lines.
Does anyone know why it could be doing this? It seems to be doing the opposite of interlacing. Does it have something to do with the looks filters? I had tried placing the frames filter BEFORE and AFTER the others... it makes no difference.
Any Help?
