Sadly I've not heard anything yet that might indicate Matrox are planning on adding legacy support for FCP 7 (in the 3.0 and later drivers) ... that doesn't mean it's not happening of course, but I always got the impression that they'd simply moved on from FCP 7 support (other than with their older driver versions) when they rewrote their software for the 3.0 release.

For what it's worth, CS6 and Avid Media Composer will both work with the (same) newer driver, but for now, I think FCP X still needs a separate/different version.
