capture using CS6, Mojito MAX, XHA1s

hi,
I am a first time Mojito MAX capture user - have used it for encoding to H.264 - attempting to capture from XHA1s component out and CS6.

As per Mojito MAX documentation, Mojito captures to 4:2:2 MPEG2 I-Frame, but various forums give differing answers on whether XHA1s outputs 4:2:2 - I believe 4:2:2 comes out only during live capture, but not during playback from tape.

Is there some kind of a best practice doc for 4:2:2 capture workflow for HDV/XHA1 cameras?

I am still going through the documentation.
