Hi Kuhnen
In a word, yes ... or at least, I do know for certain that the Matrox standalone Vetura capture and playback app for Mac is definitely coming back, but I don't have any inside track as to in which release they will resurface ... but if you check out the Matrox FCP X support page it's noted there that both Capture and Print To Tape (via their Vetura app) is "coming soon".

For reference, the original Vetura app releases were built (like FCP) on the 32-bit Quicktime architecture. Since the 3.0 driver release, Matrox have moved further development to the much more modern 64-bit CoreIO architecture, which meant rewriting Vetura from scratch as well. I'm guessing that it was a priority for them to get the host NLE I/O drivers out first though, before worrying about their own supporting apps. They haven't been forgotten though.
In the meantime, anyone working with the 3.0 drivers (using Avid Media Composer) or 3.1 drivers (using Adobe Premiere CS6) should find that they can now use the host application's built in capture and print to tape toolset to capture and layoff via their MXO2 hardware, so theirs always that ;)
Hope that's helpful
