I have the same configuration as you do and this has happened to me too. When I would type in CTRL D, with the play head at the beginning of a clip it would sometimes flicker. I had better luck using the opacity control and this happens only once in a while. This only happens on Matrox projects not on Premiere projects. While the new Matrox drivers did address a few issues it's still buggy.
