Editing production.

hi,

I'm currently having doubt on what i need to buy
to set up a nice editing/production station.

I have a JVC GY-HD100U camera, a Laptop( no Firewire port, only USB and HDMI ) and i have the editing software needed.

I was looking online to find something more efficient than tapes and came along a Citidisk harddrive wich seems good cause its plug and drop, but since i don't have a firewire port, i don't think it will do me any good.

Can someone help me out with this issue.

Will something like a Matrox do any difference or is there something else i can use to get my footage onto my computer.
