What about the judder? What about interlacing issues? How do you deal with those? I can't edit without a real monitor. And I really need a monitor for bins, a monitor for the edit, and a monitor for full screen video. Before the intensity extreme I had a thunderbolt to HDMI adapter to hold me over. That basically turned my Vizio into a computer monitor that I could use for FCP 7. The project I was on was progressive so it worked somewhat. But the judder was horrible. Things just weren't smooth even though it wasn't dropping frames. And if I switched the input to see the other hdmi input from something else, it lost connection and crashed FCP. As it should. You wouldn't unplug a computer monitor normally!

My Vizio tells me what hz is coming in. I can't get FCPX to output a 24hz signal like FCP 7 can with either blackmagic or matrox. I can get 24hz from blackmagic in FCPX as well. So perhaps you just think 24p is working? Is your TV a PAL tv? I would assume a TV would have to be PAL to accept a 25p signal. Maybe there's a PAL setting in the setup?
