[Rob Fourchalk] "Would my Apple Cinema not be good enough for broadcast."
The Mini doesn't work with the Apple Cinema Display. No HDMI. Nor will it work with an HDMI to DVI converter...the Mini is looking for a 1920x1080 fully 16:9 interface. The monitor is 1900x1200...so it won't work. You'll need to get an HDTV. And if you want to use this for color correcting for broadcast, a GOOD HDTV. Not a cheapie $500 Best Buy model. Panasonic Pro Plasma, or high end brand name. I can tell you that pros in LA use the ProPlasmas. I have one too, but it lacks HDMI input (DAMMIT!)
Con? No RS-422 deck control. No SDI out. So deck control will have to be done with an adapter, and if you want to output to higher end decks, you'll need an HDMI to SDI converter. Best get the LE if that's the case....cheaper in the long run. More audio interfaces.
