That would probably be the quickest/easiest solution James. In future you might also want to look at making a backup of your Compressor prefs (indeed, for all of your ProApps) ... Jon Chappell's excellent and free Preference Manager app is well worth checking out. Under the app's Advanced tab you can set it to backup/restore not just Compressor's Preferences but also it's Settings and Destinations. Its a gem of an app and deserves a much higher price!
