Re: WYSIWYG question

I'll let someone more knowledgeable give you a more detailed answer, but the short answer is... no that is not correct.

First of all, I'm not sure what you are asking...you say that nothing but Premiere Pro works in a 32 bit OS (which is absolutely not true), but then you ask what works in Vista 64.

It's true that the datasheets for Axio, RX.2 and MXO2 Mini all contain the phrase "32 bit versions only". I've always took that to mean 32 bit versions of LIGHTWAVE 3D, but I could be wrong. After Effects should work no matter what, because there is no 64 bit version, and of course, same goes for Encore. I know Combustion didn't have a 64 bit version as of 2008, don't know if that has changed.

However, it's possible that it may not work with 3Ds Max, Photoshop, or Eyeon Fusion in the 64 bit versions. Hopefully someone else can clear this up. But there certainly should be no reason you couldn't use After Effects or Combustion.

And, of course, with Photoshop, both versions install...so you can make the decision whether 64 bit performance or WYSIWYG is more important. And there are a lot of people who question whether 64 bit Photoshop has ANY benefit over 32 bit at this time. Certainly, if you are working with a frame at HD resolution...or even at 4K resolution...there should be no real need to use the 64 bit version. It's really for people working at massively hi-res print resolutions.
