Unspecified Error Code 800413a
by Paul Swires on Oct 31, 2009 at 8:47:22 pm

Hi

I have been using DVD WS2 successfully for a few years now and recently tried burning an 8GB ISO file so I can later burn to a single Dual layered disc on Nero etc. Unfortunately the following message pops up well into the ISO burning phase "Unspecified Error Code 800413a4. I have no such problems when burning a 4GB project.
Is there a limit for DVD WS2? Can one make a 8GB ISO file or will DVD WS2 not handle this. I am presently thinking of making my project in 2 halves and burning each to a 4GB project ... either to ISO or straight to disc as I normally do. I even downloaded the DWS2patch5 off the Ulead site (supposedly for DL support) This has worked in the sense that DVD WS2 now recognises and it shows up when I insert a blank DL disc, as 8.5GB ... something it wasn't doing before ... BUT still this Unspecified Error Code 800413a4. Incidentally my DVD WS2 project has 46 chapters ... don't know if this has anything to do with it ... doubt it though ... any suggestions or help by anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks and regards

Paul Swires
