With all due respect Les, I think you may have had a few too many gulps of the FCP Kool-Aid. The times they are a-changing.
It would be nice to see some actual sales figures from an independent and unbiased source.
My recollection of the last such all-encompassing worldwide data placed Pinnacle first, Adobe second, Avid third and Apple fourth (there were many more listed) but that was a couple years ago. Adobe's sales have reportedly doubled in each of the last two years.
Corporate America, by and large, is not exactly an Apple stronghold. Avid is mostly too expensive, and Pinnacle too amateurish (their 'prosumer' side). Adobe is what you'll find in the corporate world ... more (way more ...) than anything else.
