Recent research has proved that people are happier when they make a commitment, e.g. couples tend to be happier once they get married.
All of the NLEs mentioned are very good. But I'm sure you'll be happy no matter which you choose, because there is no edit* clone out there, and learning the quirks of any new NLE will require a commitment.
The best advice I got, when I was still using edit* but trying to learn FCP, was to put the edit* system away, just jump in and start using FCP, even though I was uncomfortable with it.
btw, my biggest reason for choosing FCP was that the market required it.
Good luck. You won't need it. You're jumping at a time when the choices are excellent.
