Seems like Auto Desk could have sold Edit for a $10,000 higher price tag and kept it going with new engineering, including Hi Def.
I've seen SOOOOO many NLE's come and go during the past ten years or so, and it has been an interesting show to witnesss. I have attended NAB the past several years in hopes of finding the "Holy Grail", only to return home disappointed.
I used to think that Sony or Panasonic or some other large corporation would see the opportunity of giving us editors the perfect system, and thus corner the market and add to their millions, but such is not the case.
I'm not a software engineer, but the opportunity is paved with gold if someone does come up with "that system", don't you think?
