Sell the existing AXIO HD and AXIO SD machines and convert to half a dozen killer MACS running FCP and ADOBE suite. I have no idea what to do about HD video hardware assist.


REPLY -
simple answer for this. If you stick with Adobe Production Suite, get an HP xw8400 and AJA Xena 2K card, and you are done.

If you stick with Final Cut Pro, get a MAC Pro and any one of the AJA products (I/O HD, Kona 3, Kona LHe), and be done.

Both are excellent solutions. In my opinion, Matrox is a BIG mistake. If for whatever reason you don't choose AJA, choose Blackmagic as the video hardware assist. Those are your only 2 proven choices.
