Yes, David, you and I have "had some innings." But one thing I have always believed about the COW is this: I do not expect people to always agree with me, but I do expect them to respect me -- enough to at least consider my opinion before they dismiss it. ;o)

The COW's Guiding Principle has always been that no one has to always agree with anyone else, even me. But they will always at least respect the other person's opinion.

Heck, even David Roth Weiss and I have come to an understanding and I have to say that I truly enjoy talking with him. (But truth be told, and this is just between us so don't tell him, I think my rabid apolitical views rankle his ultra-Leftism.) ;o)

We plan to be at NAB, but we will just be there a day or two and walk the show floor and go home. What a thought... Life, without it being defined by the NAB schedule. :o)

Heck, we have a cat to pet and things to do. Sitting on a show floor for four or five days (if you count set-up, etc.) is just too much. Besides, I like my cat.

So no, I do not dislike you, David. To be honest, as my Dad long ago taught me, people who are passionate are intense because they believe in their ideas and what they do and create. It is what makes them good. It is also what makes us all annoying at times. In the end, I just chalk it all up to that and get on with the business of community.

While some here have pissed me off a time or two and some have even hurt Kathlyn and I for personal reasons that will stay with us, in the end this is like a family and you don't get to pick your family -- you are stuck with them, good and bad.

So please do not suppose that somehow "innings" add up to contempt. (Well, as long as you someday learn that God didn't make PCs and they weren't delivered to the planet by dove and angel escort.) ;o)

Have fun, we will ... by getting away from NAB in far less time than four or five days.
