Hi Ken. Nice to see you posting again. Seems like a long time since we've seen you around here.

"Also, since my edit 6.0 won't die and I love it too much, I'd like to ask those who went to 6.5 what their thoughts are about the stability and such. What bad bulls are lurking in that pasture? Bug-wise, not obsolescence-wise"
You are asking about edit 6.5? I hope so otherwise the following is pointless. Oh well, here goes. Edit 6.5 is mostly as stable as 6.0 which, as you know, has it's moments. The biggest problem - and it is HUGE - is that using the jog mode will cause it bomb. It won't happen immediately, but it will shortly. You can still scrub the viewers or use the left/right arrow keys to do a pseudo-jog without causing problems. I learned to do without jogging and it does not slow me down appreciably.
The other problem is area is that the tvmjpg codecs are not as clean in 6.5 as they were in earlier versions. Sometimes footage captures perfectly and sometimes not when using these codecs. The uncompressed footage native to the T3K card looks fantastic.
Like any system you'll soon learn to recognize when it's about to bomb. With 6.5 if you catch it before it hangs, simply closing and reopening the job usually cleans things up.
