consumer-cheap, high quality field monitor

I'm looking for a small consumer HDTV for field monitoring. I mainly am checking focus and composition in the field so "broadcast quality," while nice, seems like overkill.

I thought this "demystifying" article might be of interest to this group. http://www.displaymate.com/LCD_Response_Time_ShootOut.htm I saw the same survey mentioned in a recent NY Times article too, if you want to read their take on it.

I would appreciate advice as to a good high-end-consumer-level field monitor. One of the main criteria is to be able to quickly perform a rough color-bar calibration. In addition, I use air shipping a lot so robustness is important.

Have any of you been able to find a good candidate?
